Plastic straws are a huge problem because there are just so many of them and most plastic straws are thrown away only being used once! Crazy isn’t it! So if you want to sip your G&T or cocktail without ruining your lipstick, or the planet, then these eco-friendly, reusable straws are perfect for you.

These straws are handmade in Indonesia from local bamboo. They are crafted from a single stem of bamboo, so all are unique in colour and size. All straws have a diameter of 6 to 10 mm.

Description

Bamboo straws are one of the eco-friendliest options for straws. The natural straws also add a touch of a tropical feeling to any drink. Bamboo straws are great for families with children. Made of sturdy bamboo, they are hard to break. Our bamboo straws are rated as the best reusable straws by the Guardian.

The straws come in a cotton pouch for all straws and a separate pouch for a single straw. This way, you can keep one straw in a handy place like your car or purse and refuse single-use straws on the go. The bigger pouch is perfect to keep the straws at home and use them whenever you feel like having an eco-friendly drink.

Cleaning

Use the cleaning brush for an in-depth cleaning. Rinse the straws with warm soapy water and let them dry completely.

After drinking aromatic drinks, it is recommended to soak the straws in a vinegar solution or to boil them for 10 minutes.

Store the straws in an airy and dry place.

Avoid keeping them in airtight containers, which wouldn’t allow the wood to breathe sufficiently and cause it to rot.

Avoid putting them in the dishwasher too often.

Overtime your straws may start looking worn out.

You could oil them to keep them at their best. Apply a food safe oil like walnut oil, coconut oil or almond oil. Do not use olive oil as it goes rancid too quickly. Using a cloth, rub a liberal amount into the wood. Wipe off the excess and allow to set overnight before using the straws.

Straw Pouch Cleaning

After some usage the pouch may need to be cleaned too. You can easily hand wash it with warm soapy water. The pouch can also be safely washed in a cold wash in the washing machine. Air dry the pouch.
